NEW customizable standards-aligned Math & ELA lessons for grades 3-12

Pear Deck

Pear Deck has released more customizable standards-aligned Math & ELA lessons for grades 3-12 into the redesigned Content Orchard, which has advanced search and filtering to find the content you want, faster. Pear Deck Certified Content are interactive lessons built to meet educational standards and engage students in meaningful learning experiences.

  • Pear Deck Certified Content is aligned to Common Core, TEKS (Texas), and other related state standards.
  • Pear Deck Certified Content's research based instructional strategies are designed to keep students engaged through interactive and dynamic learning experiences.
  • Pear Deck Certified Content fosters a classroom environment that promotes active participation and deep understanding.
  • Pear Deck Certified Content is designed to promote higher-order thinking skills, aligning educational standards and mirroring the Depth of Knowledge requirements of state assessments.
  • Pear Deck Certified Content is mapped to available Pear Practice practice sets, allowing teachers to follow instruction with practice.

We also launched a redesign of the Pear Deck Content Orchard to support the launch of Certified Content and made the Orchard accessible via the Google Slides Add-on. The key changes to the Orchard include:

  • Introduction of Featured Content: Discoverability of our standards-aligned lessons and also enables teachers to easily find not only our internally developed content (i.e. Quick Checks for Math and ELA, STAAR prep, SEL), but also new Pear Deck lessons/activities relevant to the time of the school year (i.e. Black History Month, Women's History Month, etc.).
  • Improved discoverability of content: Users can now search for content (including an auto-complete search feature) in the Content Orchard by entering keywords and filter the content by subject, grade, and standard.
  • Organization of Content by Subject and Grade: Users will be able to find content relevant to their grade or subject by selecting the grade or subject card relevant to them. They will also be able to filter the content further by subject, grade, or standard (ex. users can filter by the grade of their choice when viewing Math content).
