Pear Deck Expands PowerPoint Integration and Introduces Custom Draggables

Pear Deck

We're thrilled to share two exciting updates that many of you have been asking for. These new features are all about making teaching easier and students' learning experiences more engaging.

Enhanced Microsoft Integration: Edit and launch Pear Deck presentations from OneDrive

Great news for our Microsoft-using schools! You can now copy Pear Deck presentations directly to OneDrive as PowerPoint files. Customize slides as needed and use the Pear Deck add-in to easily add interactive elements. Then, launch it as a lesson directly from the add-in in PowerPoint.

If your school uses Microsoft tools, you can now easily access and use:

Regardless of the ecosystem your school uses, you can still bring interactive learning to your students without the extra steps. This is one of many ways we’re making Pear Deck Learning into a streamlined platform that supports teachers across every step.

Custom Draggables: More creative options for teachers, more active learning for students

"I wish I could customize my Draggables"?

We heard you loud and clear! You can now customize Draggable elements with:

  • Text
  • Symbols
  • Emojis

This means more creative options for your lesson and more active learning for your students. Imagine the possibilities:

  • Science teachers can have students drag text labels to the correct parts of a diagram
  • Math teachers can use symbol characters for equation building
  • Start class with an engaging bell ringer where students drag pin emojis onto a map showing places they've lived or visited.

Please note: Custom Draggables is exclusively available to School & District subscription customers.
